Several companies now offer cars for use on track days. What's the deal and what should you look out for?
As the track day industry matures we're starting to see a number of businesses emerge in support of the activities on track. Aside from track day photography and instruction services, the latest idea is to provide cars for use on track either as an alternative to using your own or to provide something a bit different from the car you know so well.
Initially many of these cars were race cars looking to earn their keep during the week but now a couple of companies are providing dedicated vehicles for use by enthusiasts.
Various packages are available from quick taster sessions through multi-session hire to day-hire and corporate packages.

Buyers Guide
If you're interested in making use of services such as these, then here's our quick guide to hiring:
Give the company a call and have a chat with the organisers. Make sure that you get on with them as it won't be much fun spending time with them otherwise!
It's important to check the focus of the day. Is it just a chance to drive something exotic briefly, or is it aimed at letting you get to grips with one particular car over the course of a day?
